About The Author

Kam Raslan is a writer and director, working in film, TV and theatre in Malaysia. He is a columnist in The Edge weekly and Off the Edge magazine. His writings were previously compiled in Generation: A Collection of Contemporary Malaysian Ideas. He also writes for the Instant Cafe Theatre and will one day make his own feature film.

Kam at Ubud Writers & Readers Festival 2007, 25 - 30 September 2007

During the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival 2007, Kam was featured in two events on the main programme:

• Censorship, Seen and Unseen, with moderator Michael Vatikiotis, and writers Richard Flanagan, and Ngurah Harta, on Saturday, 29 September 2007, at 10:15 a.m.
• The Art of Satire, with moderator Nury Vittachi, and writers Manuka Wijesinghe and Isman Hidayat Suryaman, on Saturday, 29 September 2007, at 1:00 p.m.

Before the festival proper began, he was spotted and asked to autograph his book for a fan all the way from Kuching, Sarawak!
